Otherwise 5.0-11838 should work fine for the time being.
#Dolphin emulator mac low frame rate code
I would look into the code myself but I'm not sure where to begin. For the time being however, the game is completely playable in 4:3 without the widescreen hack, so it's not the end of the world. I can record a video of the issue if folk would like a demonstration. Perhaps something was broken in the result of fixing the other issues? Other members of the Metroid Prime Randomzier community have confirmed the issue. The following build 5.0-11841 states the following: VideoCommon: Tweak widescreen heuristic. The last build to not have this issue was 5.0-11838. For example, when facing off against the final bosses in Metroid Prime, the screen will spontaneously jump between a 16:9 screen and a stretched 4:3 screen, regardless of whether Force 4:3 or Force 16:9 has been enabled in Dolphin. It seems there was some sort of regression with how the aspect ratio is handled when playing the Metroid Prime games in Dolphin (at least, when Dolphin's Widescreen Hack enhancement is enabled). I posted an issue I noticed on the Dolphin forums to no response. Generally speaking the cursor seems to be tracking fine. I'm using a Dolphinbar with a real Wiimote+ synced directly to it.
#Dolphin emulator mac low frame rate 1080p
I'm not sure if it was always like that in the game and I just don't remember but that would be surprising cause it's really bad. With dual core and synchronize gpu off+d3d12, I was able to run it at 1080p with some random frame drops (down to 40fps) ( mostly during transition which is weird but doesnt bother me) 22. I can't figure out if I'm doing something wrong but it makes the Yoshi levels super difficult because I can't easily complete the puzzles using that mechanic. I can run around the enemy for multiple seconds without getting a target and once it finally shows up, I have no idea what I might have done differently all of a sudden that could have caused it to work. My issues is that the cursor appearing or not feels super inconsistent. A cursor appears automatically over the enemy when you can eat them. So basically, when using Yoshi, you can target enemies and items to eat them. I started a new Mario Galaxy 2 playthrough today and I'm having issues with the Yoshi targeting and I'm not sure if it's a real problem.
